DESCRIPTION: | Corns & Calluses are the most common foot problems and come in various forms i.e. hard corns and soft corns. These small circles of thick skin tend to form on the tops and sides of toes or on the sole of the foot. Corns are often caused by wearing poorly fitted footwear which place excessive pressure on an area of the foot. Leeford Corn Caps are self-adhesive strips easy to apply and hold firmly in place over the corn. Leeford Corn Caps contains a measured dose of Salicyclic acid paste which loosens the skin to remove them. |
SIDE EFFECTS: | Very well tolerated, mild irritation & pain at the site of application are normal and mainly associated with misplacement of the padded well of medicine. |
DOSAGE/DIRECTIONS FOR USE: | Soak your feet in warm water for 5-10 minutes to soften the skin of corn and enhance the absorption of drug present in the Leeford Corn Caps. You can skip soaking once you notice that skin of corn is already softened. Wash the feet after soaking & dry it thoroughly. Completely dry corn or callus. Remove the corn cap from the safety backing & place the circle directly & exactly over the corn. Press it down firmly, adhesive side facing the skin, and secure it if needed, with Leeford Microporous tape or cotton dressing so that it does not come out until next 24 hours. The pad of the Salicylic acid well protect surrounding skin damage & help preventing pain by providing cushion. Leave it in place for 2 days then remove. The area is cleaned and dried and a fresh corn cap is applied every 2 to 3 days. If the corn is not easily removed further corn caps can be applied changing every 2 days up to a maximum of 5 to 6 corn caps. Usually it takes one to two weeks to remove a corn; in certain cases it may take up to one month to get a complete removal. It is safe to be used in individuals above 12 years of age. Leeford Corn Caps is for external use only & should not be used by diabetics, if their sugar is not well controlled and in this case it is used only under medical supervision and with Doctor?s prescription. Do not apply if skin is inflamed or broken. |
