| DESCRIPTION: | Planispec-400 contains Teicoplanin, a Glycopeptide antibiotic which acts by inhibiting the cell wall synthesis of disease causing bacteria. It has bactericidal activity against both gram positive aerobic & anaerobic bacteria. It is used for the treatment of severe bacterial infection in hospitalized patients. Planispec-400 is indicated in MRSA infection, CAPD related Peritonitis & Surgical Prophylaxis. |
| SIDE EFFECTS: | Common side effects are Pain or swelling at the site of injection, Fever, Itching, Skin Rash, Erythema, Dizziness, Headache, Diarrhoea, Nausea and Vomiting. |
