| DESCRIPTION: | Mucoend injection contains N-Acetylcysteine, a mucolytic and anti-oxidant that removes the mucous from the respiratory tract. It is indicated in various respiratory diseases where excessive mucous is formed which includes chronic Emphysema, asthmatic bronchitis, tuberculosis, bronchiectasis, bronchitis, Pulmonary complications of cystic fibrosis. It is also indicated for Paracetamol toxicity due to overdose to prevent Liver damage. Mucoend injection is also used with nebulizer as respules to remove phlegm. |
| SIDE EFFECTS: | Common side effects are headache, tinnitus, stomatitis, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, pyrexia and hypotension, rash and urticaria. |
